The problem with most Christians is that we are far too impatient. If God doesn’t speak in the first 5 minutes of our prayer time, we get up, shake ourselves off, and concede that God is not talking today. We no longer have the kind of tenacity, diligence, and persistence like the Saints of old, who would grab the horns of the altar, and refuse to let go until they receive a sure word from God. Unlike those precious men and women of God, we have become the microwave generation, we want everything over night; even Christian maturity. We have deleted, erased, and totally obliterated from our bibles and our thoughts, those passages of scripture that command us to wait on God during turbulent, troubling, and unsure times. Learn to be patient and wait on the Lord; for he knows what you need before you even ask.
Scripture
James 1:2-4
My brethren count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations. Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.
Prayer
Wonderful God, teach me to be patient and wait on you knowing and understanding that nothing happens without your permissive will. In Jesus Name. Amen.
