When our CUP is Sweet, it is a common fact that the substance used to sweeten our contents has a “sticky” composition. In the context of sugary substances, hydrogen bonds form the sticky molecule compounds. These hydrogen bonds become thicker when water and sugar are combined resulting in a stronger “sticky”substance. Your Sweet CUPis sending the message; Collect sticks and “Stick to the Savior” as the tempestuous winds and waves come.
As we face the tumultuous storm of our world’s pandemic plague, the waves and winds we view as common elements within the storm remain paramount such as, remaining safe, mourning the loss of family and friends, sustaining our income, accessing food, accessing healthcare, keeping our children safe, and maintaining our homes. Every boisterous wind and raging wave generate a reaction of “how to” navigate the storm to safety. Our Sweet CUP reminds us that our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, is what we must cling to during this storm. He is speaking to us, “Stick to Me!” Jesus teaches us that He is the vine, and we are the branches; and He says that we must abide in Him to accomplish anything. If we fail to abide in Him, the result is we cannot do anything. (John 15: 1-8).Recall the Apostle Paul’s account of abiding in Christ during a tempestuous wind, called Euroclydon while sailing to Italy. Through what appeared to be a hopeless situation for the entire crew, the Lord God sent His angel to speak to Paul and proclaim their safety. Paul shared with the officers of the ship that all crew members must abide in the ship for safety. After their fast of fourteen days, the Lord brought them all to safety, clinging to the ship’s broken pieces. The Lord teaches us to … “Trust in the Lord with all your heart…” Proverbs 3:5. This means, we “Stick to the Savior”. It does not matter how forceful the storm may appear, or how strong the winds blow, we do not waiver, nor do we doubt, we hold on to God’s Hand and believe He will bring us out! Jesus is the Master Ship through any Storm!
Your Sweet CUP tells you to think and believe on these words as you “Stick to the Savior”.
…Blessed is the one who trusts in the LORD, whose confidence is in him. They will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit… [Jeremiah 17:7-8]
[…This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us…] 1 John 4:14]
